How does Harmonic work?

First, your team members take a 10-minute survey about their workstyle, interests and values. We analyse the results and use AI to generate a visual and engaging Playbook for each employee. Employee Playbooks are like virtual profiles that give a holistic understanding on where people are most 'in their element' at work.

Next, your whole team gets weekly insights about the different workstyles within the team. These insights highlight how to improve collaboration, build trust and create a culture of open communication. It's a new way to think about team building. And it's super effective for remote teams.

Managers get access to a suite of features including:

  • Team Visualisations | e.g. You'll see if your whole team is risk-averse or detail-oriented, showing blindspots and strength gaps
  • Employee Comparisons | e.g. Leah and Bridie are both collaborative so they'll thrive in creative, project discussions.

What's a Playbook?

A Harmonic Playbook is a virtual profile that displays an employee's workstyle, interests and values.

An employee's workstyle captures where they feel most 'in their element' at work. It is not a psychometric test. It explores where an employee feels in-the-zone and what kind of work energises them. The interests we capture include topics like favourite books, podcasts, music, sporting, cultural, food, travel and intellectual interests. The values we collect include character, intellectual, spiritual, social, environmental and professional values.

Is Harmonic's approach evidence-based?

Our workstyle constructs are evidence-based, to learn more about the science behind workstyle click here. While the categories for our workstyles are evidence-based constructs, we are not a psychometric assessment tool. Our approach is similar to 'The Zone of Genius', a way to enable people to express where they feel most competent and energised. We act as a vehicle for people to express how they work best and to spark meaningful conversations in the workplace.

They will get a variety of insights, each week has a different theme. Here are 3 examples of insights:
